TK118's BASE OF OPERATIONS

Stardate December 2nd 2006, Fairbury Illinois 2 hours south west of Chicago ... Where animals outnumber people!

After having to get up at 4:45am to get ready, then pick up Andrew at 6:15am, then drive 2 1/2 hours south. So far south there is NO CELL RECEPTION.

It was a COL day, and a lot of snow. The 2 days before there was the first snow storm of the season and snow was 4 to11 inches depending on where you were.

Bu we all took it in stride and made it work. Andrew and I got there and right away had to help out smashing about 1/2 inch of ice off the float. FUN! LOL then we all headed to the restaurant to eat then suit up. I was SOOOO happy I was in Guard, All I had to do was toss robes on over jacket, so I stayed fairly warm.

I brought down with me about 350 small bags of marshmallows to toss out and we did just that.

This town was so small, that them seeing us must have been one of the highlights of the year! And we loved hearing all the comments from the sidelines. ITS DARTH VADER! OOOOH CHEWBACCA, Hey Marshmallows,

Then after the parade we saw santa and well, lets just say he was a bit nervous. LOL
