A WORD ABOUT VARIATIONS AND PROTOTYPES
As with many patches that are made, prototypes and variations are produced, for example, for the Everglades Squad patch, there are 6 different prototype patches, each with different color schemes and fading variations. It's all part of the process.
Some are ONE of a kinds, some have very very limited runs (Under 10) So if your looking for prototypes... GOOD LUCK! Most will be damn near impossible to get. HAPPY COLLECTING!

"Some background on this: it occurred to me while in Europe that it is a very special experience for me to meet troopers from all over the Legion. The one thing I feel let-down by is not having something to hand out like the pins the UKG handed out saying "I trooped with the UKG". While I hope to have those pins handy some day, it prompted me to come up with what the pin would have on it. That's when it occurred to me to try and fashion a Founder's Logo. It was ten years ago I coined the phrase "Vader's Fist". Since then, that icon has not been used in a single 501st reference (in spite of my efforts to include it in my Garrison's logo). So I felt it would be the natural choice for me to use as my logo. It's simple, it's relevant, it's iconic. Tom Schaefer has helped me by fashioning this emblem which we now bring to you as a 501st patch. I really like it. I hope you enjoy it. Long live the Legion: Vader's Fist!
